Almost every week I get asked the best (ie cheapest) way to pick up Kontakt 6. My answer is that you can get it at least half price using cross-grade discounts, and sometimes for near to £100 if you catch a special Native Instruments promotion as roughly twice a year NI cut their prices in half. Here’s the instructions…
Go to the Embertone website and grab Arcane for free.
Download Native Access, you need to create a Native Instruments account if you haven’t already. Next you should open your Native Access app and log in. Then at the top left click ADD A SERIAL and register Arcane’s serial number – you should have received that in an email from Embertone.
Make sure you’re still logged into the Native Instruments site, go to the Kontakt 6 product page, and click BUY NOW. The page will refresh – in the dropdown box select CROSSGRADE and the site should now show you the discounted pricing. Now ADD TO SHOPPING CART and complete the checkout process in the normal way.
